Brooklyn's Sharon Van Etten delivers pain and inspiration in equal doses. Are We There, the singer songwriter's fourth album, is filled with moments that track this duality. The album feels more musical than her past efforts as she has expanded the instrumentation from just voice and acoustic guitar. She still tells tales of emotional havoc and despair, but the music comes from a stronger, more powerful place than before.
